Dog 2008 is more than a 1.8-mile dog walk/run around Audubon Park.
Hours of wholesome family fun surround this 26th annual Community Pack Presence, with music by Fleur de Lis, a food court, local animal loving vendors and artists, dog obedience demonstrations, Doggie Contests, and more. Walk Registrants are sponsored for the walk, with all proceeds benefiting the programs and services of the Louisiana SPCA.

Palmettos on the Bayou in Slidell is having their annual
Bayou Fest on April 6th. This year they've lined up a solid
group of performers: Joe Krown, Walter Wolfman Washington,
Grammy-Nominated Pine Leaf Boys, Coco Robicheaux, Johnny J
and the Hitmen, John Brinson Duo, Brian Stoltz, Big Daddy O
and more. There will be food booths.

The festival begins with a Bayou Clean up from 9-12.
Those who volunteer get free entry.
